Remember how the algorithm beat the human in the drone-flying test? This was because it removed human error. So self-driving cars should, in theory, remove the human errors that are responsible for many accidents. However, accidents will still happen and the car will need to have been programmed to respond in a certain way. How do those decisions for these algorithms get made?
